The Trail of Dead Society
11/14/2008 -- by merlin

So I created this group on Facebook a few days ago, which I've decided to call the Trail of Dead Society, and I'm hoping to turn it into a cult. We already have a solid base of regulars, but I'm going to open it up to the public in the hope of attracting fresh blood.

Sometime in the future, this may turn into an official fanclub of sorts and I'm certain there will probably be membership perks, so join now and reserve your place at the front of the line.

If you use Facebook, click here to join the party.

P.S. If any of you out there are aspiring graphic designers and would like to design a logo, please drop me a line.

Update: Generation Records Instore

10/17/2008 -- by merlin

An important update on the instore:

...Trail of Dead will be performing at Generation Records on Tuesday, October 21st. Generation has the band's limited edition (only 3000 pressed) Festival Thyme 10-inch picture disc available for pre-sale. Anyone who orders the 10-inch at the store before the show on Tuesday will receive a special voucher which will get you a signed flat from the band and an automatic spot on the guestlist for the show.

All others wishing to attend the show, must RSVP below. Space will be extremely limited so the only way to guarantee you will be on the list is to buy the 10-inch from the store. You will be informed on Sunday (10/19) if you made it onto the list. DO NOT call the store.

Brooklyn's Freshkills will open at 8:00pm and ToD will go on at 8:45pm.

Spots on the list are going quick. Act fast, kids!

Where Have You Been?!

10/01/2008 -- by merlin

First of all, I must apologize for ignoring this site for four months. If I could think of a clever excuse, I would, but I can't. Sorry.

Yes, there's a new record coming. Yes, it's done. No, it doesn't have a title or any artwork (yet). Yes, it's coming out on the boys' own Justice Records imprint Richter Scale Records. Yes, there's an EP too called "Festival Thyme" and it's coming out on October 21st. Yes, Conrad and Jason played two shows as a two piece since we last spoke. Yes, My Bloody Valentine picked ToD to play at ATP New York with them a couple weeks ago. Yes, there are a few more tour dates in the works (for Texans only).

Now that we're all up to speed, it's my proud privilege to inform you trailofdead.org has been re-designed (partly) and re-launched. Those of you who used to use it as a tool for all your ToD needs will be delightfully surprised to notice I re-added most of the sections I unjustifiably took away a few years ago. Those of you who have never visited, please do feel free to check it out here.

Don't forget to visit the message board from time to time as well. You may even spot random band members walking among us regulars.

Your friend,
merlin
